Cindy Sherman Cindy Sherman is an American photographer who specializes in self portraiture. She photographs herself dressing up as many different characters in different contexts. "Murder Mystery" series, 1976-2000 In this series she dresses in many different outfits. You can barely tell that every picture is the same person. This represents her typical work. Very dramatic self portraits. She also uses costumes to represent different decades.

For my self portraits I used shutter speed to create a ghost like appearance in my pictures. It gives motion to a otherwise still figure.

Andre Kertesz Andre was a freelance photographer for many different mass-circulation magazines. His independent photographs became popular after his death. His work is majorally historically themed since its potter. His work is also focused on abstract shapes and surrealism.                            Here we see an arm coming out of an engine fan. The mix of the                              mechanical and human body really represents his style.         The lined up birds with the shadow once again make you think of the         postwar theme he goes for. They almost represent soldiers. andré-kertész black-white-photographs-by-andre-kertesz-2 Dorothea Lange Dorothea was a photographer during the great depression. She would photograph the unemployed and lots of farmers. He photographs are mostly portraits with a simple background. I think its so that we focus on the subject and the emotions they portray. Here we have a photograph of a mother with two ch
